Your dermetologist has quite a few options. Tetracyclene worked for me when I was younger. I eventually had to take a much stronger perscription that I dont recommend.
First of all it is not going to be over in a week.
Secondly, before taking any meds I would try natural homemade remedies.

Lemon to treat acne scars?
I would like to know can I use lemon juice in a bottle the one that you buy in stores or i have to make my own juice from a fresh lemon? also after putting the lemon juice on my face do I have to wash it off after a couple of minutes or I can keep it?

OMGSHH... dont use lemon!! My auntie tried it and it just made her scars darker and move obvious.
You need cocobutter! Its the best thing for scars and is also used to clear up stretch-marks. You can buy is pretty much anywhere. Make sure to apply it day %26amp;%26amp; night after washing your face.
As for the honey thing.... i doubt that will have any effect. Its full of sugar and in theory will only cause spots. xx

You can mix the lemon juice and honey in equal proportions and apply over the scars. You can leave on skin for up to 20 minutes. You can also try tomato juice but don't leave it on for more than 10 minutes or as long as it takes to dry. Better use fresh lemon juice. This mixture supposedly lightens scars. But this is a long term process and you will have to stick to it for at least 2-3 months to see good results. So I suggest you use stuff you can buy at the store if you want quick results.
Some people recommend it for cleansing but don't leave it on because any acidic fruit like lemon or lime would give you skin stains that don't go away for months. It's personal experience. Try using a regular acne cleanser instead it works better and you don't have to risk any more skin stains. Take vitamin A it's really good for the skin.

what works better is apple cider vinegar, look up apple cider vinegar for acne. Buy the organic kind and i would also use Tamanu oil great for blemish scars.

Just go to a drug store and get a body cleanser with salycylic acid in it, you can also put spot treating things for your face, on your back which will help as well.
get a thing callen acne free put it on your back every night it works really well you can also use it for your faec too!!!!!!!!!!!

However, if you can't do that for whatever reason, a good clarifying mud mask will bring all the yuck to the surface, which will cause you to have more breakouts for about thirty days or so, but then, you will have a marked improvement because the yuck is no longer there.

4. Drink a lot of water that cleans... cut back on sugars %26amp; fatty foods that usually cause the skin to irritate.
5. G to the Dermatologist.. They'll presribe you with either an oral mediacation and/or topical cream to apply to the infected area.
6. Last but not least wait it out.... acne usually occurs when you start puberty. It goes away (on most people) by the time they become an adult.

I have been using proactive for a little more than 8 weeks now, and I don't think its working for me. I used as directed for a couple of weeks, until my skin became unbearably dry.
