whilst it wont clear up the oil, sudocrem is a fantastic healer. i always put it on spots to get rid of them quickly. however, it will not prevent you from getting spots completely. its also important to treat the cause of your acne whether it be diet or whatever. i would recommend using an exfoliating face wash such as 'clean and clear' to prevent your spots from coming combined with sudocrem to treat any you do have.Should I use sudocrem to treat acne on oily skin?
Sudocrem is an awesome spot killer!
Not only will it quickly reduce redness and size of spots, but it balances the oil levels in your skin, therefore preventing further spot infections due to pores clogged up with oil.
Sudocrem is extremely cheap, and very easy to use.
Cover your whole face (or just effected areas) fairly lightly with the cream and leave overnight. In the morning, give your face a good wash and behold the results!
Also you will find your skin to be less oily, and very soft. I, too, have oily skin and it can be a nightmare. Sudocrem is the answer!
Good luck! =] x
Should I use sudocrem to treat acne on oily skin?
No. Sudocrem is a barrier cream and will do nothing for your spots. Best things for zits is toothpaste. Dab it on at night before you go to bed. It really draws.
I would advise not. It's too thick and creamy and would just clog your pores. You either need something lighter (like a lotion e.g. like a witch hazel based one) or I've just got some salic acid cream from the doctor and it's working really well!
