Treat acne, while working in sweaty job?

Just wanted to know what is the best way to treat acne while working in a job that involves me sweating all day in a dirty environment. Everyday I get new whiteheads during the day.. any suggestions??Treat acne, while working in sweaty job?
my hubby suffers with the same problem as you, he is a steel fabricator and welder so the dirt and sweat off his job makes it worse, we found that soap with tea tree oil in helps and a facial sauna, you know the things women usually own but never use? same as putting your head over a bowl of hot water, it seems to clean all the dirt out of his skin pores. hope this was of some helpTreat acne, while working in sweaty job?
Short term treatment - keep the face as clean as possible during breaks in the day. At minimum, wash with soap and water. At best, use an exfoliate and astringent. Another option may be to wear a headband or hat to prevent some of the sweat from running down the face.

Long term - see a dermatologist to get some antibiotic (e.g. tetracycline) treatment. Over time, this will reduce acne.
since it seems impossible to put anythin on his face during da day,it best to cleanse da face before bedtime and apply moisturiser or tree tea oil. eucerin,NEUTROGENA is a good brand.its best to take multivitamins during da day..make sure dat it contains zinc as zinc promote healing and helps acne.
If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

http://www.acne-treatment-medicine-1.inf鈥?/a>
Drink lots of water to help get rid of your toxins; keep up with the ti-tree oil treatment as this is antibacterial (and an immuno-stimulant); try facial massages with Essential Oil of Geranium (balances sebum secretion) but make sure you have diluted it in a carrier oil first! Good luck!

PS if you are past your mid-twenties you could have a food allergy which is causing your acne...
Wash well and dry thoroughly then treat with an astringent, to day it up
During the day constantly wash(say every half-hour or when ever ur face feels greasy)with cool water, a gentle (baby, if possible) cleanser and pat dry with a smooth hand-towel. Try wearing a flea-net, but not a mask,if it's dust bothering you. At night, go to sleep in a cooler environment having treated ur face to a moisturiser pack. If you don't ur face wil soon get dry and chapped.
cant say this will cure it but if you eat a banana every day you get less spots.

I have a skin problem, its acne. What do you think could work to treat it more efficiently and faster?

What could work best, soap, pills, or something else?I have a skin problem, its acne. What do you think could work to treat it more efficiently and faster?
Go to a dermatologist (or at the least go to an esthetician that has trained in skin care). They specialize in treating special skin cases such as acne. Make an appointment at a place that sells a good line of skincare for a consultation or get recommended to a dermatologist. Don't use soap on your face it's so drying it can make the problem worse. (the pills are full of controversy, so make sure to ask lots of questions if recommended pills.) Get a full regimen of products including face washes, treatments and moisturizers. (Don't use Proactive, it seems to work however long term dryness can occur.)I have a skin problem, its acne. What do you think could work to treat it more efficiently and faster?
pro-active is really good
Your best bet is to go to a dermatologist. Only he can see exactly what's going on, and either give you the advice, medications, or prescriptions that you'll need. Just keep in mind that acne can leave scars that last a lifetime. Best of luck to you.

Can doxycycline be used topically to treat acne like clindamycin?

No, its chemical structure does not lend to effective absoption via the skin. Doxycycline has recently been approved in gel form for dental use, but it has to be applied directly to the gum and tooth pocket to be effective.

There are some members of the tetracycline family still marketed for topical use in acne. They are not used much since the development of other, more effective products, such as clindamycin and erythromycin.Topical tetracycline is available in the following dosage forms:

Chlortetracycline - Ointment (U.S. and Canada)

Meclocycline - Cream (U.S.)

Tetracycline - Ointment (U.S. and Canada),Topical solution(U.S.)

Hope this helps.

Any tricks to treat acne?

i mean are there any tricks besides drinking alot of water and preventing greasy foods to prevent acne?? i have acne but it is not so severe that i need a $20 acne treatment, i just want to use something that i can find at my houseAny tricks to treat acne?
toothpaste does not work thats just a stupid little rumour.

Try changing your pillowcase like once every week (or even

more often than that) becuz the oil in your face goes into your

pillowcase wen your sleeping, and then sleeping on the same

pillowcase every night puts more oil into your face which

causes pimples.Any tricks to treat acne?
toothpaste, dries the little nastys right up. Plus it has a cooling effect which is rather pleasant. Just dab some on there, let it dry and wash off. It will really reduce the size and redness of them.
Preventing greasy foods doesnt really work. Some say that if you put toothpaste on it, it will dry it up. I have also heard an ice cube may help (but it didnt work on my pimple). Good luck.

Natural remedies to treat acne?

O.K. this is the best there is to offer and it's cheap compared to all the things the stores offer. Bragg's apple cider vinegar wash your face and any other area with it daily. It cleans and disinfects all your pores. Your skin will thank you and it will help scars too.Natural remedies to treat acne?
Ok I use this 3 times a week and it does wonders!

Ingredients:

Epsom Salt

Oatmeal

Equipment:

Blender, coffee grinder, or food processor

Measuring cups

What you do is you put a 1/4 cup epsom salt and 1 cup oatmeal in a blender or whatever you have and mix it until it becomes a fine powder.

Directions:

3 times a week or more, when you take a shower dab a little bit of the mixture onto your fingertips. Then put 2 or 3 drops of water on the mixture on your fingertips and the gently rub onto your face for 30 seconds to a minute. Then rinse off.

The epsom salt penetrates any pimples and dissolves whiteheads or dirt trapped in the pore. While the oatmeal soothes and calms pimples causing them to be less red and shrink.

I promise your face will look healthier the second time you use it.

Epsom Salt and Oatmeal are natural products so there is no wierd side effects.Natural remedies to treat acne?
I would have to agree with virt. Using all organic products is going to be your best bet for acne.

I would suggest a castile soap cleaner

A toner with some ACV, pure witch hazel, aloe, tea tree, many things you can choose

your weekly scrub can be made if you like. I make mine with organic sugar, honey, and some organic oils.

You can then follow that with some tea tree in a oil base(coconut and emu are wonderful).

I would suggest products from mountain rose herbs or a health store.

I like mountain roses:

lemon face cleaner

followed by toner ( I now use jsut a flower water)

my once a week I use their facial scrub(or I make my own)

followed by their Restorative Skin Oil ( I also add a bit of emu oil with tea tree)
Tea tree works wonders and there are lots of products on the market that have it in it. But just a bottle of tea tree oil and you can apply to each pimple or add a few drops to your face wash and use. First suggestion however would be to make sure all the products you use on your face are natural. Read the ingredients, do your homework...most acne can be from the products you already use.
Smh @ that potato answer.

USE ALOE VERA.

MY NAN GAVE ME SOME .. IT WORKED.

RUB ALOE VERA ON THE PROBLEM AREAS.
cut a lemon in half and scrub it over the acne, let it sit for 10 minutes then wash it off.
scrape it off with a potato peeler

There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

It was even televised on TV.

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up ';Cee En's Acne Solution'; or ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay.

First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase 1 month supply for $40 or 6 month supply for $160

It's expensive, but the product DOES work.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.

I hope this helps. =)

i had acne a little on my back when i was a teenager and the only thin ghtat worked for me other then acutain was nature's cure. they have a formula for males and females. its a pill and a cream. you can pick it up at any store like wal-mart.
Make sure your sheets are clean (same thing goes with pimples on your face!) If you are sleeping in dirty or not-so-fresh sheets, then you are just allowing your pores to become more clogged! Also, make sure that you cleanse the skin on your back after you excercise, or even sweat a little. And don't mess with it! Oils and bacteria on your hands can get into your already infected pores (back acne). Hope this helps!

Minocycline, RetinA and Duac to treat my mild acne....?

Has anyone here been on these Rx with good results, and how long before you saw any changes. I know all the side effects and dont need any more info on that, i dont need people putting me down. Just let me know if it DID WORK and HOW LONG BEFORE YOU NOTICED CLEARING UP.Minocycline, RetinA and Duac to treat my mild acne....?
Minocycline is a good product against papulopustular acne; RetinA is good against the noninflammatory black head type of acne. Duac is also used against the inflammatory acne. So, it appears to me that you are sort of doing ';overkill'; with your regimen, but it should work well for you. You can expect to see some beneficial response within about four weeks. (You might also expect to see some irritation at first, because of using the topical medicines.)Minocycline, RetinA and Duac to treat my mild acne....?
i used to have horrible acne, to the point where i didnt even want to go out i just wanted to stay home cause i didnt want people to see my face full of pimples and zits, and so i tried this product and it worked perfectly i wouldnt change it for any other acne product, this is the best that ive found to this date, if you want to go check it out heres the link:

    Best way to treat whiteheads(acne)?

I used to use a hot steaming towel to heat soak the problems on my face, like the barber does when he shaves you.

It opens the pores and gets rid of excess oil naturally and doesn't cost anything.Best way to treat whiteheads(acne)?
Don't mess with it too much. Try and take a metal pimple popper and pop it. Otherwise, your going to irritate it and make it worse. If it is really bad take a towel with warm water and hold it up to it. Don't mess with it any further or it will get really red and nasty.Best way to treat whiteheads(acne)?
An excellent remedy for pimples or acne-prone skin can be made by mixing 1 teaspoon ground cloves with 2 tablespoons fullers earth and ice water. When you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

Acne scarring on back - how to treat?

My gorgeous husband has acne scarring on his back, which he's had since his early twenties when he had bad acne (that he had to take medication for). He doesn't mention it often but he has said he wishes he didn't have his acne scars, and he still gets spots even now (he's 30). Is there a simple non-invasive treatment to help him get rid of his acne and his acne scars? We're going on a beach holiday next year and it would be nice to give him the option to fix this, if it builds his confidence.Acne scarring on back - how to treat?

I treat my acne by using the techniques in the facemaster course: http://facemaster.net/thefacemastercourse.html ... really strikes at the heart of acne rather than treat the symptoms of it.

I highly recommend it. Report Abuse

Wash your face EVERYDAY. No exceptions. Never go to sleep with makeup on. My dad is a doctor and he recommeds Oxy. He says that there isn't a lot that you can do about the acne you have, but you can prevent it. This is a good acne treatment to prevent acne.
Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser has helped me more than proactive and my pimples are not out of control any more.

You can find this cheap at your local pharmacy.
there is a vitamin complex you should try. email me for details
Go see a doc and get yourself on the pill - it worked for me and cleanse your face twice daily. Use non abrasive products - Johnsons works well - and try to steer clear of make up for a while.
My brother and daughter have a bad problem with acne..And I buy them the Medicated Apricot Scrub.. I think St Ives is the name brand maker.. but I buy the Walmart Equate brand.. It has the exact same ingredients in it.. I have found that cleaners with Salicylic Acid in it work alot better than ones with Benzyol Peroxide.. The scrub can irritate your face so I wouldn't use it everyday.. On the days my daughter doesn't use the scrub, she washes with soap then uses a cotton ball with astringent containing Salicylic Acid...Her face stays pretty clear..
Have you not got anything prescribed by your doctor? Perhaps try going on the contraceptive pill as it's known to help acne.
Get online and order PROACTIVE. I started using it a couple years ago and it really works! I also know alot of people who use it and there acne has disappeared as well. You can order it online it is a 3 step system. And you get a free mask and fact booklet with it.Trust me try it!
Try using St. Ive's Apricot Scrub. They also make a Facial mask you can use. It doesn't cost a whole lot, and it can be found at Wal-Mart. Plus, cut down on caffeine or fatty foods. What you put into your body has to come out somehow, and it is usually thru your pours.

    Cheryl writes, ';My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. She has been acne free for two months. It took about three weeks to clear up.';

you can get the vinegar at the health food store, or in some super markets.
yeah vit E is lipid soluble so youll never find a water based one for sure. i use salycilic acid in an acne gel. it really helps to fade the scaring. youll notice it in about 2 weeks that they are lighter.
only plastic surgery will fix the scars if they're that bad...your dermatologist should have told you that...

make sure to cleanse your face every night before you go to bed, and in the morning, but not more than that! most people with acne tend to overwash their face because they think that helps, when it actually makes it worse (your body will produce more oil to keep your skin from being dry)... try not to touch your face, change your pillowcase often, and clean your phone with some kind of antibacterial wipe fairly often, too... if it's cystic acne, then you'll prob need to see a dermatologist... another thing to do is wear a moisturizer after washing your face in the morning - it will actually help your body from producing too much oil - and it's always a good idea to pick a moisturizer with an SPF

Or, go to an esthetician's office. Get blue light treatments (it is a light that shines on your face for 16 minutes and 40 seconds one to two times per week). It kills the acne-causing bacteria. Also, I really recommend Obagi and Glymed products. I use the ClenziDerm M.D. acne therapeutic system made by Obagi. It works wonders on my face!

This stuff I mentioned is expensive, but totally worth it (blue light treatments cost about $50 per treatment; one kit of ClenziDerm costs about $130 but lasts a long time). Good luck :)

My cat has feline acne what should i use to treat it?

ive read alot online about it and it said to use peroxide and an anifungal, well ive been doin that but the anifungal im using is lamisil cream for like athletes foot or jock itch... not sure if this will help or not?

so is there something i might have or i could buy some what cheap at the store to use on his chin? i dont really have the money at the moment to take him to the vetMy cat has feline acne what should i use to treat it?
Well if it's acne than an antifungal is not going to do anything. Keep his food bowls clean, and if he has a plastic bowl I suggest getting a stainless steel, or ceramic bowl. You can keep his chin clean with mild soap and water solution, or you can go to the store and actually get sensitive/mild stridex pads and use those as well.My cat has feline acne what should i use to treat it?
My cat had the same thing on the sides of his face and by his lips. In his case it was caused my his plastic food and water dishes. If you are using plastic dishes you may want to take them away and replace them with glass or stainless steel. My vet also had me use benzoyl peroxide, which you can get in cremes( look at label of acene meds. for humans) form at Target or any drug store. It would save you a trip to the vet if that is all it is!
Take her too the vet home remedies like that often do not work. She could have a staff infection. My dog got that on her legs and it looked like puss filled pimples. She most likely needs to be put on oral antibiotics.

The humane society has programs that can help you pay for a vet visit and some vets have financing options but is should on cost around 70 -100 dollars in all.

    Tea Tree Oil works.

    It works!

.Are there any other over the counter medicines for treating acne than benzoyl peroxide?

Ive been trying benzoyl peroxide (10%) for acne and it isnt working that great. is there anything else out there?.Are there any other over the counter medicines for treating acne than benzoyl peroxide?
The 4 main ingredients that are used for acne are: benzoyl peroxide (up to 20%); 2. salicylic acid 3. retinoids 4. sulfur. Then a doc can prescribe antibiotics and other modalities. Experiment with the sulfurs and the salicylates. You can also combine them with each other. STop if you experience irritation, peeling, excessive dryness etc..Are there any other over the counter medicines for treating acne than benzoyl peroxide?
Most acne products only treat the symptoms and not the source. Over the counter products such as gel and cream only make your skin dry %26amp; sensitive instead of treating acne at the source. Prolonged use can even lead to premature aging and other health issues.

The main causes of acne is toxins build up in the body and clogged pores caused by excessive oil and deadskin cells. These conditions provide a fertile ground for acne bacteria to spread and thrive.

To effectively fight acne and prevent acne from coming back, you have to attack acne from inside the body as well as outside on the skin. So, look for an acne product that fights acne internally as well as externally. They should also contains natural ingredients since they're more safer to use and has less side effects.

There are also things you can do at home to get rid of acne. Take actions to detoxify your body and take care of your skin and soon, you will permanently end your acne and have clear, radiant, beautiful skin!

For the next couple of weeks, stick to the regimen below:

-Drink a glass of warm water with lemon and honey in the morning and evening

-Drink lots of water throughout the day to flush out the toxins

    -Eat oatmeal for breakfast

-Eat 2 cups of yogurt a day - yogurt boost ur immune system and contain microbiotic organisms that help your digestive system and control the acid/yeast

    -Exercise regularly

-Eat lots of green veggies (organic if possible)

-Stay away from coffee, sugar, carbohydrates, fatty and fried food

    Does cocoa butter treat acne?

    Does cocoa butter treat acne?

I heard it does...and I just tried it.

It seems to be working a little, with the redness ect.

I dont have bad acne...its just kinda under the skin.

And its a little blotchy from the sun.

but I dont want to wakeup tomorrow.. and have my whole face brokenout. hah

please help :)Does cocoa butter treat acne?
I think cocoa butter might be a bit heavy for acne-prone skin; a good alternative to conventional blemish cream is either aloe vera gel or calamine lotion. The aloe vera gel will reduce redness and inflamation; the calamine lotion will dry out and shrink pimples.Does cocoa butter treat acne?
Cocoa butter is very heavy. It will clog up your pores and cause your skin to break out more, eventually. However, it is good for the rest of the body. It's a great moisturizer.

If your skin is blotchy from the sun, you have damaged it. Continuous exposure to the UVA and UVB rays are harmful to your skin and linked to skin cancer as well as other growths. In addition your skin will age faster, will have more age spots as you grow older, and generally make you look like a prune in your middle years and up.

Always use a bit of sunblock with an SPF of at least 15, applied 1/2 an hour before exposure to the sun.
no, its too heavy and will probably irritate the skin and make it worse

try aloe vera-put it in the fridge and try it in the morning

    hope this helps
oh my gosh, no. cocoa butter will clog your pores. wash your face now! you should use a sensitive skin cleanser like cetaphil lotion, apply a noncomedogenic acne treatment to the spots (you can find these at the local pharmacy). another good tool is the xeno, which has been proven to zap zits and heal them. the cost is expensive (about 170.00) but might be worth the investment (also sold at CVS pharmacy). a good dermatologist can prescribe a cream for acne or an antibiotic, depending on the severity. no more cocoa butter!
dont use that on ur face, its way too greasy, its going to clog your pores and make u break out!!
I'm not sure about cocoa butter, but i know that toothpaste does! just put a THIN coat of it on a pimple, and leave it on over night and it drys up pimples! Also, Visine (the stuff for eyes) temporarily taked the redness out of a pimple.
cocoa butter will make you break out! Its way too heavy to go on your face! If you just put it on you wouldnt notice anything yet. Its good for mosturizing skin and for stretch marks...NOT acne!
Oh god no, it will clog the pores and make it worse!! Try Benzoyl Peroxide, or a dab of rubbing alcohol to dry it out, good luck
Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao) - the fat of the cocoa bean. Contains natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity and is extremely emollient for the skin. It's an excellent moisturizer that melts at body temperature and is commonly used to prevent chapped or dry skin, stretch marks, skin irritations and wrinkles. It is known to improve skin flexibility while leaving the skin feeling soft and silky smooth.

How do u treat acne and does water and soup help ?????? help me plz?

I'm really hoping you mean soap.

Soap and water do help. If you have severe acne you may think about seeing a dermatologist. There are alot of over-the-counter things you can get that should help also. Things like proactive and different facial cleansers and things are supposed to be really good. How do u treat acne and does water and soup help ?????? help me plz?
The problem with Proactiv and others is they treat existing acne... but they don't stop the acne. You keep paying them for the treatment. It's a big scam. Don't buy another expensive acne treatment until you have checked out the ';Endzitsnow.com'; website. That's where I ot rid of my acne. No joke. You'll be glad you did. And I have already had a few best answers for this one. Goodluck

Should i stop wearing lip gloss to better treat the acne on my chin?

does lip gloss some how make one's chin break out? ... if i stopped wearing lipgloss///would my pimples prob get betta?thnx

xao;DShould i stop wearing lip gloss to better treat the acne on my chin?
That doesn't really make sense. Unless your lip gloss is getting on your chin it wouldn't have any effect. If your breakouts are localized to your chin it is more likely caused by resting your chin in your hand while sitting or from your phone. Be conscious of not touching your face more than necessary and regularly clean phones and other things that frequently touch your face. If your breakouts are not localized consider talking to a dermatologist about a treatment program.Should i stop wearing lip gloss to better treat the acne on my chin?
you could find out if you stopped using it for awhile. but if you have acne on your chin or anywhere else i recommend you use lemon. i've used it and helps a alot. just recently i soaked a cotton ball with with fresh squeezed orange juice and rubbed all over my face because i have oily skin and i noticed that it helped the couple o f pimples i have and my face looks clear after 2 days. you might want to try one of these out and see which one works best for your acne and that way you don't have to get rid of your fav lip gloss.
don't put lip gloss on your chin.
No chicky the lip gloss wouldnt be giving you pimples.

Dont touch your face with your hands, unless they have been washed first.

Pimples are caused by a build up of dirt, oil and bacteria (your hands carry millions of bacteria %26amp; germs). If you have large pores the dirt %26amp; oil %26amp; bacteria fester under the skin %26amp; turn into a massive pimple.

Other than that it would be your hormones too.

Make sure you wash your face morning %26amp; night %26amp; moisturise with an oil-free moisteriser.

Try going to a beautician as they can analyse what skin type you have and can recommend you the right face wash for your skin type.

If you dry your skin out too much (by using the wrong face wash or toners) then your skin will produce more oil to compensate for the moisture that has been taken from washing. This results in an over production of oil and can also give you more pimples.

When I was 17 I went onto a contraceptive pill call Diane (there are other names for it : Juliet, Estelle) which works as the normal pill only it stops you from getting pimples.
id think so, cause when i wear lipgloss i get pimples around my lips. and it gets all greasy
I don't think lip gloss has anything to do with it, unless you are a really bad aim and apply it on your chin! It might clog your pores then....but other than that, I think you are safe with your gloss. Just wash your chin and use acne med, and you should be fine!

How can I treat this PREGNANCY ACNE??

I'm about 4 weeks pregnant, and my skin hasn't always been the best to begin with, but now that I am pregnant my skin is getting wrose I think.

I've never really been able to use those cleansers with benzoil peroxide or salacilic acid becasue it make smmy acne WORSE. And I know that certain products can't be used during pregnancy.

    Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks! How can I treat this PREGNANCY ACNE??
My skin has never been perfect but with this pregnancy it got a WHOLE lot worse those first 3 months. I just had to wait it out. It was the hormones cuz once I was about 4 months along, it all went away and I've been pretty clear ever since. Sorry..just try to make the best of it. Good luck to you %26amp; congrats! How can I treat this PREGNANCY ACNE??
I don't know but I have always had bad acne, when I got pregnant it got worse. Now I am 15 weeks and it is covering my face with huge, hard, painful, un-pop able, zits. I cannot find anything that will help. I sure hope it goes away when this baby gets here. Either way, pregnancy is definitely not making me glow, well unless you count the rudolf size zits.
Have you tried proactive solution? I used this years ago and it really does work - plus I think it's safe for pregnancy and other things like Retin-A etc are not. Honestly, proactive really works.

P.S. Maybe you're having a little girl. I had dinner with a friend the other night and she was telling me that she and all of her other friends who have had little girls, all broke out terribly during their pregnancies.

    Good luck!
Im 19 weeks pregnant and still having the same problem as you. Ive tried a few different products and nothing has seemed to work yet. Be careful with what you use though. Because your skin may be more sensitive, some products can make it worse. I tried a new product last week and broke out in a huge rash, which was worse than the acne I was trying to treat!
i used AVEENO POSITIVELY RADIANT worked wonders

Does proactive oily face treatment help treat acne too?

cause thats all i have..Does proactive oily face treatment help treat acne too?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.Does proactive oily face treatment help treat acne too?
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

Which birth control pill works better to treat acne: ortho ticyclen or ortho tricyclen lo??

I was on ortho tricyclen lo for 1 month a long time ago, and within that month, my skin was completely blemish free, plus I lost a good 10 pounds!! I read that ortho tricyclen is prescribed to treat acne and is clinically proven to clear up the skin, but when I inquired about ortho lo, I found that it isnt proven to treat acne, yet like I said, it worked for me before... so now I am starting ortho tricyclen to see if it works since it IS prescribed for acne, but Im wondering if I shouldve stuck with the ortho lo... if anyone has any info or experiences they can share, I would be more than happy to read them. Thanx!!Which birth control pill works better to treat acne: ortho ticyclen or ortho tricyclen lo??
Your best bet would be to ask your doctor which works better.

No offence sweet heart, but this isnt a question for Yahoo Answers.

It all depends on your how your horomones are effected by the BC itself. You can get other peoples opinions, but everyone is different. Some are effected differently. One might work wonders on your face. The other might make things worse.

    Again...just talk to your doctor.

Good luck!Which birth control pill works better to treat acne: ortho ticyclen or ortho tricyclen lo??
I found Yasmin worked really well to help make my skin clearer and stopped blemishes - maybe check it out or ask your doc
    all of them do .
I wouldn't take the risk, birth control pills can be dangerous. So think of it this way would you rather have acne or have cancer and lose your breasts or die?
    Hi,

I totally know where you're coming from. I struggled with really, really bad acne about 2 years ago. Intially I tried tetra-cyclin and retin-a. However, my skin got freakishly dry and I started getting a weird rash on my face.

I quickly stopped taking them and tried Proactive. That sure was a waste of money. I finally started showering directly after the gym and found that this helped tremendously. I also tried a free product I got on the net called Beautiful Skin. Believe it or not, it worked way better than the prescription stuff! I only paid $4.95 for shipping for a month supply. I re-ordered and I use it to make sure I don't get back my zits. It also has tea tree oil which feels really good on my skin.

Here's the link if you want to get it, I think it's the best thing I've ever bought for the price $4.95

    http://www.alllsite.info/beautiful-skin.鈥?/a>

    Good Luck!
Honestly, all birth control pills help with acne. They take total control of your hormones. It's wonderful. Tri-cyclen is the only one who has that as part of the patent that it treats acne, so because it's on the patent, the other pills can't make the same claim. if you're doing well on the lo dose, I'd stay with it. The fewer hormones it takes to do the job, the better. I was on the lo dose and had trouble with irregular periods, but a lot of people really like it. low side effects.

What's with all the anti birthcontrol talk?
I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

    1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

    2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
If you think that acne sucks, wait until the pill gives you cancer. The active ingredients in the pill are hormones. Hormone-related cancers include breast, ovarian and uterine cancer. There's a lot of information that's widely available on the subject -- much of it straight from the Mayo Clinic.

It doesn't mean that everyone who takes it will get it, and obviously birth control pills serve a very important purpose in our culture, but if it comes down to a choice between a regular dermatologist and some dieting, I'd nix the pills.

(2 days later, folks) Listen, nothing is wrong with birth control. It should be more frequently used: for the right reasons. Treating acne and losing weight are wonderful but they are frivolous uses for human hormones, which come with risks and benefits, just like any other drug.

I use Tea Tree Oil for everything, from a facial wash to a douche. I put a few drops on a cottonball, rub it on my face then lather with a gentle soap like Caress. It clears faster than over the counter stuff and is natural so it wion't damage your skin. I use it on my hubby's feet too bcuz he has a fungus under his nails, it taked a while but nowhere near the year that the pills do and it's natural! I would tell you also to use a moisturizer after a strong astringent and will really dry your face out.

Does cocoa butter help to get rid of acne? Also, whatnother products are good at treating acne?

have acne and I was wondering does cocoa butter actually work to get rid of acne. I like to use natural products on my face and back so are there also any products that really work to treat acne. Thankyou!Does cocoa butter help to get rid of acne? Also, whatnother products are good at treating acne?
Actually I think it will make it worst. Please don't put that on your face!

I recommend you first find out what type of skin you have for example: oily, dry, sensitive. Then based on that follow the cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing routine every morning and night. You can get some really good products from the drug store, but since personally i don't like to search i just bought the clinic set that has all three for acne. You should go speak to a lady in a department store they are really help full and give you samples. I have found some amazing products from samples.Does cocoa butter help to get rid of acne? Also, whatnother products are good at treating acne?
    well yes and no

    it depends on your skin

acne is USUALLY caused by too many oils mixing with the dirt in your skin

oils can be caused by either

    A) naturally oily skin, or

    B) too much washing and too many products that DRY out your skin, forcing your body to produce MORE oil than it normally would

i found when i exfoliated in the shower, and then applied cocoa butter afterwards, before going to bed, my skin was great! it was soft, and i had no excessive oil because my skin was already moisturized

but if you already have very oily skin naturally, it may make it worse
i've never heard of that, but i know eggs do.

    here's the recipe:

    1. Get two small bowls.

    2. Crack one egg into one bowl.

    3. Separate the yolk and put it into the other bowl. Optional: Add a few drops of lemon juice if you have oily skin. It will help eliminate oil. Don't try it if you have dry skin, however, as it will irritate the skin.

    4. Spread the egg white around your face in circular upward motions while avoiding the eyes.

    5. Wait 15-30 minutes. You want it to 'harden' on your face.

    6. Break the egg white off of your face.

    7. Spread yolk around face in the same manner as the egg white.

    8. Wait 15-30 minutes.

    9. Wash the egg yolk off with warm water and pat dry.

Have your doctor perscribe you Differin. It works like MAGIC. What it does is it brings up all the acne in the beginning and then goes down. It takes about 3 weeks. Also, wash your face every day.
Best ways are to change your daily routines. You want to wash twice a day with good acne soap. Drink lots of water and avoid caffeine. Eat fresh fruits and veggies and stay away from greasy foods. Wash or change your pillow case at least every other day. Simple things like that can really help.

To speed things along you can use products designed for acne treatment. I have heard great things about acne exposed products. You can get more info on acne and products at the site below.
    benzol proxide really works:)

    Neutrogena.

    Glytone.

    Revale.

Any products (treating acne, of course) from these companies should be the perfect solution to your little problem. I recommend Neutrogena the most. It has the best-selling lines of creams, ointments, and face washes to make you look magnificent 24 hours 7 days a week. :)

Now, this is an expensive shot, but I'm telling you it's so worth it! For about $200 (don't panic, keep reading!!), you can get the Clarisonic brush from (Neutrogena, not sure?). For once a day, just apply the simplest face wash and viola, it works like magic! In a few weeks your pimples and acne are vanished. Pretty neat, huh? I use it all the time. :)

    hope this helps!
talk to your doc. bout it!
ok i know this is going to sound really wierd but it worked for my mom and a lot of other people i know

well see my mom had real bad acne problems and she went to dermetologists and tried lots of different types of medicine and washes

well she heard from her friend that milk of magnesea (im not sure i spelled thta right) would clear it all up

well of course my mom at first thought this was some type of cruel joke but then her cousin tried it and it worked

so my mom tried it and it worked for her

see what you do is put it on your face and it cleanses your pores and clears up acne

im not sure if this works for everyone but i hope this helps!!!
Be aware that Pro-Activ (and other regimens) don't work for everybody! I tried Pro-Activ and it made my acne WORSE. I eventually went to see my Dermatologist and she prescibed an antibiotic pill, facewash, and cream to use everyday...its AWESOME! I've been on it for like 2 months now and my face is totally clear. Seeing your Dermatologist is probably your best bet if you want real results and don't want to waste time with over the counter stuff like I did.

Also, DON'T go on Acutane until you try this antibiotic stuff first. It makes your entire body get very try, and it will always be dry even after you go off of it. The side effects of it are awful.

    Good luck!

Acne : Home Remedies suggested by users

    All-fruit Acne diet

To begin with, the patient should take only an 'all-fruit' diet for a week, taking three meals a day, of fresh juicy fruits, such as apples, pears, grapes, grapefruit, pineapples, and peaches. Only unsweetened lemon or plain water, either hot or cold, should be drunk and nothing else.

    Well-balanced Acne diet

After the one-week, all-fruit diet, the patient can gradually adopt a well-balanced diet with emphasis on raw foods, especially fresh fruit and vegetables, sprouted seeds, raw nuts, and wholegrain cereals, particularly millet and brown rice. Further short periods of the 'all-fruit' diet for three days or so may be necessary at a monthly interval till the skin's condition improves.

Avoid strong tea/coffee, soft drinks and processed foods

Meats, sugar, strong tea or coffee, condiments, pickles, soft drinks, candies, ice cream, refined and processed foods should be avoided as far as possible.

    Other Acne natural treatments

The patient should remain in the bath tub for 25-35 minutes till he sweats freely. After the bath, the patient should cool off gradually

  • What's the best oil free to moisturizer to use while treating acne?

I am currently 5 months pregnant. I have a serious acne problem that has gotten worse now that I am pregnant. I am trying to find a oil free moisturizer to use in order to keep my face from overdying. What are the best ones to use and where can I learn more informatikon about the ingredients that they contain? What's the best oil free to moisturizer to use while treating acne?
I've used many different so-called ';oil-free'; moisturizers while treating acne. So far, my favourite is Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion. You can get it easily from murad.com or Sephora stores. Good luck :)What's the best oil free to moisturizer to use while treating acne?
vaseline, it doesn't feel nice but it doesn't clog pores and it moisturizes well
well i dont know about a moisturizer but cut a lemon in half and rub the juice were ever you have acne its totally safe since youre pregnant and in two weeks your skin should be clear

Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

    http://www.acne-treatment-medicine-1.inf鈥?/a>
Avon has an excellent oil free moisturizer and Olay Regenerist Moisture is awesome because not only does it help with the dry skin but it also repairs the skin damage caused by acne.
I use the Proactive Moisturizer which is excellent. I use all of the products and they work great. I know you need to use any ';noncomodogenic'; products. That means ususally oil free, will not clog pores. Good luck.
    http://www.cleopatraschoice.com/
    Neutrogena oil-free Moisture
I strongly suggest Pro-Active. I LOVE the stuff. (but check with your doctor since you are pregnant) and if he says it's okay... get this product. I used Clean and Clear for years and it did nothing. I still had discoloration and pimples and oily skin.

Pro-Active cleared that completely in 3 weeks and I was extremely doubtful at first but I've been using it every since. And I hate paying more than $2 for anything but for this stuff. It's worth it.

Plus it's not overly greasy and will leave your face nourished. And it's only 3 easy steps.
vitamin A, it is one of the best treatments, with the pregnancy check with your doctor, who can best advise you on the subject and prescribe a proper cream.

How effective is pure Jojoba oil in treating acne?

Is Jojoba oil, applied neat to skin or used as a cleanser, really effective in preventing acne? Can it be used to treat existing pimples? Any tips/advice about how to apply it, how often, time of day etc.?How effective is pure Jojoba oil in treating acne?
Bad idea. Any idea how acne forms? That is when pores are clogged with oil and bacteria sets in. Jojoba oil is very similar to human sebum(oil), the one that clogs pores. And by using jojoba oil, you are clogging your pores more which will definitely worsen acne.

To get rid of acne. Try a gentle cleanser. One that is glycerin or sorbitol based will be good and it does not need to be expensive. Cetaphil and Neutrogena has some pretty good ones. Try Cetaphil庐 Gentle Skin Cleanser.

Wash your face at least twice a day and everytime after you perspire. If your skin is the oily kind, you do not need to apply any moisturizer, your skin oils are enough to keep it hydrated. If you really must apply a gentle light oil free one. Cetaphil庐 Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 or Cetaphil庐 Moisturizing Lotion is quite good

Apply pimple cream to the acne area. Try benzoyl peroxide low strength(2.5%) first. Don't pick poke scrub or pop your pimples unless you want scars which are really ugly. Scrubbing cleansers or washes are also no-nos because it equals picking and poking and makes acne worse Treated pimples gently.

Eat healthy. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Cut down on sugar and carb intake. Foods like chocolates, coffee, soda drinks, bread, rice potatoes or anything starchy and sugary are no-nos. Cut down on oily and fried foods also. Go for grilled, steamed or baked food. Make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Ensure that your diet is rich in vitamin A, C, E and Omega-3 which are important for the skin. Less stress and sleeping enough is also important. Not having enough sleep is like putting stress on your body. Makes sure you sleep at least 8 hours a day.

If you are a smoker. Try to quit. Smoking causes a lot of damage to your skin because it introduces toxins to it. These toxins can clog the pores or make the skin harder to breathe and that鈥檚 when the acne bacteria set in. The toxins also cause longer healing of the acne as well as the marks and scars left behind by acne.

If all else fails and your acne is still very bad, it is time to see a dermatologist. The pills and medications do work but you may have to take them long term to suppress the acne as it is not a cure and acne is a chronic disease. However the pills are not miracles and you won鈥檛 see results in 2-3 days. It normally takes about 2 weeks to see the difference. However not all dermatologists prescribe pills unless your acne is really bad. The pills will include antibiotics, accutane and contraceptives. If your acne isn鈥檛 that bad, dermatologists will prescribe topical creams first. If you are really going to a dermatologist, I suggest asking about a product known as Retin-A that treats acne and acne marks and heals the scars.

Does anyone know a way to help treat acne??

Is that you name? Geraldly.... anyways, I've had acne, but now it's starting to go away. Theres really nothing you can do besides, washing your face and that acne medication everyone else is taking I forgot the name. But its all in your genes and age. Can I have ten points please?!Does anyone know a way to help treat acne??
there is a vitamin complex and cream combo that works effectively to solve the problem. email me for details and have your settings allow me to reply back.Does anyone know a way to help treat acne??
    Try aloe vera juice.

Drink 30 ml fresh aloe juice morning and night.

Apply aloe gel on your face twice to thrice a day.

Wash your face with cold water.

Avoid harsh chemicals on your face.

Check for dandruff as it causes acne.

    Eat fiber rich diet.

    Avoid constipation.

    DRINK LOTS OF WATER
Don't wash your face in cold water like that person said. It doesn't clean your pores because they close up when they get cold. Wash with warmish-hot water. And accutane has a BUNCH of side effects includes depression, joint aches, etc.
Accutane. Go to the doctor and ask for it. It's incredible and will clear your skin up quite well. It works by reducing the amount of sebum your body produces, and thus reduces the amount of oil and dirt that can become trapped in your pores.
yes i am still battling it but it is going away

use acne-free for like 2 weeks and then use neutrogena acne products and wash your face everyday and night and if you see your face get oily than wash it

you can find both at you nearest drug store
Wash your face and hands regularly, at least twice a day. Avoid contacting your hands/fingers to the acne and spreading the bacteria.

What your diet and avoid fatty foods, ie fast food.
There's really not much that can be done, but you know I've kind-of found it a blessing in my life. Its taught me not to care what others think, and let others know I don't care what they think. I've been mocked several times because of the acne on my forehead (I get it bad up there) and I just acted like it didn't bother me, and ended up gaining respect of others.
im an adult that struggled with acne for a long time, after trying every product including proactive which did nothing i found a face wash that worked like magic, neutrogena clear pore cleanser/mask dont use the mask your face will peel like crazy just use it as a daily face wash, works awsome
My daughter uses Proactiv and really likes it. As long as she uses it her complexion is fine.
To get rid of acne. Try a gentle cleanser. One that is glycerin or sorbitol based will be good and it does not need to be expensive. Cetaphil and Neutrogena has some pretty good ones. Try Cetaphil庐 Gentle Skin Cleanser.

Proactiv works for some people it clears up for a while but acne may come back. It is also very harsh on your skin and may dry it all up, definitely not for people with sensitive skin. My friend said it corroded and bleached her metal sink so if it can do that to the sink, think of what it is doing to your face. So Proactiv is a no no.

    Okay: Acne survival tip

#1. You're gonna need to wash your face with either hot or cold water atleast 2 times a day.

#2. Get in the sun, SUV rays (to a certian extent) actually help acne!

#3. DO NOT pick at your acne. Its worse having scabs on your face (which last longer) than

    pimples

#4. Drink a lot of water and eat healthy.

#5. Steaming your face with a steamer, or even hot water mixed with cold water (creates steam) and then putting your face in cold water to close the pores.

#6. If all else fails, there is this pill called Tetracyclen which is for acne only that you can take. Ask your pharmasist and/or parent. My mom got it for me and it seems to work well! :)

    Good luck

I have lots of tiny red bumps on my forehead and chin and a few whiteheads. Please help! Oh and does Clean and Clear Morning burst help get rid of the kind of acne I have? (my skin is oily)What product from Clean and Clear treats acne the best and the fastest?
chocolate.luver2938, I acne problems starting when I was 14. I had acne on my forehead that was embarrasing. I tried Proactiv, Murad, Zyporex, Aceneticin, Oxycerin, and even the Asso Gold Cleaning Bar with so-so results. I wound up visitng a local dermatologist. After 2 months almost all of my acne cleared up. I recommed you try finding a local dermatologist that can help. http://www.homeacnecare.com

Who has been to a dermatologist for treating acne and had good results?

I have mild acne which I got a few months ago and i am scared it might worsen. I am considering going to a dermatologist. Is that a good idea?

Who has been to a dermatologist for treating acne and had good results?
I always felt like they were experimenting on me, like let's try this, OK, now let's try this! They seemed to love prescribing antibiotics, which I think is a terrible way to treat acne, because it makes the bacteria stronger. I have great, smooth skin now, but only because I took control, started being gentler to my skin, and learned how to treat it myself. Try this:

Don't touch your face. You'd be surprised how much your skin can improve just by doing something so simple.

The over-the-counter stuff worked way better for me than any antibiotics or expensive acne treatments. There are three steps:

    1. Cleanse with a non-soap cleanser like Cetaphil or Purpose.

    2. Apply a product with 1% or 2% salicylic acid to get rid of dead skin and oil buildup that can clog pores. A good and cheap one (around $10) is Neutrogena Rapid Clear. It says on the bottle that you'll see results in 8 hours, and it's true!

    3. Now that you've got the salicylic acid working to unclog your pores, you need to apply a product that will kill the bacteria that's helping to cause pimples. A good one is the weakest concentration of benzoyl peroxide, because you need to be gentle to your skin. Neutrogena makes an acne spot treatment with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. You can use it sparingly all over your face.

Start out doing this once a day. It can be your nighttime routine or something. See how your skin takes to it. Depending on how well it works, you can either do every other day or go up to twice a day.Who has been to a dermatologist for treating acne and had good results?
I have been and had microdermabrasion done and it showed good results. You might not be able to tell a hell of a lot yourself simply because you look and in the mirror everyday you might not notice too much of a change, however, for someone who doesnt notice your acne everyday it will be noticeable. Even my mother noticed a difference. It also depends on the amount of acne you have and it does cost a bit. I had 5-6 sessions every 2 weeks or so which cost around $100 each from what i remember. The also prescribe an antibiotic tablet which you take and a skin cleansing cream which you use morning and night as well as glycolic acid cream. All these things together really make a difference. It might not make your skin perfect but you would understand that when you have skin problems you will take whatever help you can get. I too had mild acne and once your done with the dermabrasion all you need to do it continue with the cleansing at home to keep your skin clean and as long as you done touch your face it will stay clean and you notice that you dont get pimples anymore.
i've had mild acne for a long time now

    and it's now going away

only because i've stopped using any product

    including soap

wash your face with (warm) water only [during your shower, etc]

    constantly

it's the best way to get rid of acne

other products usually just make things worse

    use water

    and water only

and it'll improve in 2-4 weeks

    =)
not me. Try birthcontrol.....that is if you are a girl. hormone imbalance can be one of the main causes of acne. you cant cure it, only treat it.
Me. They gave me Benzaclin and pills. Worked out fine.
