Is there any birth control pills that can help treat acne?

ya i take YAZ and it works really well. i no longer suffer from acne, but i am also taking a pill called ethromycene, and i am applying two different topical lotions and morning and night. Is there any birth control pills that can help treat acne?
Just to add to %26amp; Hearts' comment, erythromycin is an antibiotic...which kills bacteria...meaning it can kill some of the bacteria that causes acne. That could be a big reason it is clearing up her acne as well.

Just wanted to add that in. I don't know too much about the acne fighters in birth control, though. I'd imagine there are A LOT of options that clear up your skin though, esp if you find you have more breakouts during certain times (meaning they are hormone-regulated). Ask the doc you get ****** control from (or planned parenthood or whatever). Is there any birth control pills that can help treat acne?
YAZ is supposed to.. but its not helping me immediately.. people say it will take a while to make a difference. Dont listen to HANK :| He must be a little slow if he thinks that acne can be solved simply by washing our face.. Goodnes.. I wish it was easy to get rid of
you might ask a doctor

but it would be alot easier

WASH YOUR FACE WITH SOAP

Will the topical antibiotic METROGEL treat my pustular acne?

It's not indicated for pustular acne; and actually, it's indicated for acne rosacea, but in my experience, it doesn't really work all that well for that, either.

  • Who should treat acne? Dermatologist or Beautician?

Can someone tell what their profession are used for. I'm a bit confused.

ThanksWho should treat acne? Dermatologist or Beautician?
dermatologistWho should treat acne? Dermatologist or Beautician?
As a retired nurse epidemiologist I can share with you the fact that dermatologist deal with acne, skin cancer, etc.

Beauticians are licensed to play beauty shop and make women prettier and men more handsome by hair cuts and styles. They also are trained to do facials (putting warm, wet towels on your face) to help clean out the skin pores, trimming facial hair, waxing eyebrows and above the lips, etc.
dermatologist by far that's what they do, they treat and help skin and the differance is that they have a medical degee.
You need to go to a dermatologist, because they treat skin conditions. So they would help your acne.
    Dermatologist !!

    Beauticians can only hide them
    Dermatologist
You should see a Dermatologist as they are trained to treat skin problems such as acne.

No!! But you can try Papaya, it is very effective in curing pimples.

How To Take: Apply fresh raw papaya juice on the affected area for 15 minutes before washing it off. This helps in resolving the symptoms of pimples in a week.Have you ever used Milk Of Magnesia to treat acne??
No, but my friend uses hemorrhoid creme - to reduce swelling and dry the pimple. Have a healthy and happy leap year!
Milk of Magnesia is used to relieve constipation,
buy *magnesium* instead. It is a mineral sold in vitamin or health food stores. That can be used at times to resolve acne. Magnesium, zinc, selenium, Vitamins A and E, omega 3 fatty acids are all helpful.

It won't really truly treat acne. It will help to keep your skin less oily, which may reduce your acne a little; you can apply some with a cotton ball before bedtime and leave it on overnight -- like a mask. You can do this as frequently as necessary to keep your skin less oily.

I have bad acne on my face and I can't afford to pay a visit to the Dematologist so I need help.I have a bad case of acne on my forehead. How should I treat it?
Maybe the acne is only on your forehead because you put products in your hair and your hair is touching your skin and irritating it. Try to keep your hair out of your face.

Do NOT use rubbing alcohol on it. that is way too harsh. Don't scrub or exfoliate a lot either because it could irritate your skin.

You can buy a cheap sensitive facewash from walmart or anywhere. Remember to be sensitive.

Also, when looking for acne cream look for stuff with benzoyl peroxide in it. Don't put too much cream on at once either.

Don't touch your forehead or mess with it a lot and NEVER pick at the acne.

I am no longer in my teens so I don't get it as often as I did when I was younger, however, I have nephews and a stepson that suffer from acne. One of my nephews has been to a Dermatologist and had trouble keeping up with all of the creams/lotions that they gave him. I found a good one that works well over the counter, called ACNEFREE. You can buy it at Walmart or pretty much any drugstore like CVS, Walgreens, etc. It is a 3 step system you use every day. It has done wonders for both nephews and my stepson. It doesn't take long to start seeing the results and it isn't very expensive. The package which contains all 3 steps, is available at Walmart for around $17 or at the local drugstores for around $20.

I like Clean and Clear Acne Wash. It is not drying and helped to get rid of acne for me.

However, I am now starting Clean and Clear Advanced Acne Clearing System instead. This line contains an acne cleanser which treats and helps prevent breakouts as you wash. It also contains a daily acne clearing lotion, which helps stop breakouts and treats existing blemishes. I will let you know how it works because it is supposed to work well in 2 days.

Another thing I like is honey. Apply honey to your face for 10 to 15 minutes 2-3 times a week and then rinse off. This will help get rid of acne scars and help treat acne.

Wow I was desperate 2, when I say desperate that means it was bad. The best thing to use is PROACTIVE its the best, it works very fast and your face will feel smoother than a baby's bottom. I hope u get some and it works out well.
proactive works but you must keep a routine as with any other facial wash
neutrogea facil wash with synthlic acid works great...you may have to follow with a oil-free mositurzer but it all depends on how dry your skin is....the wash has helped my acne a whole lot...but warning you have to use for like a few weeks to start seeing results.....good luck!
OK lets be real, acne's a b**** and it's the worst thing to get over but its not impossible. The best thing out there for it right now is Acutane, but, it is not for everyone that's why it is only obtained by a Dr's prespription. Some people tend to be allergic to the medicine, for a few percentage it does not work for, but usually it does, for everyone, even though after you stop using it the acne comes back, like with every other medicine after the treatment is over. It is really harsh on your body though, for women they can't take contraceptives or have kids due to some serious problems that can occur while taking it, other people experience horrible peeling and dryness.

Apart from all this, i used to have acne, apparently not bad enough for Acutane (according to my dermatologist) but it was still bad (at least i thought it was), so i was recommended this over the counter medicine called ';Nature's Cure';. They have two medicines, one formulated for men, and another for women, and among these they have the topical creams and face washes as well as pills that work from the inside out. I personally tried the cream and face wash. Since i started using it i have yet gotten another pimple, seriously, my face is progressing miraculously, alot of the blemishes are gone, almost all. Smooth skin, it does dry it a little bit but barely, everyone's complimented on it. A few more weeks and my face will be completely clear. To help with this i also get facials done, everyonce in a while to help with the deep cleaning, which helps alot to remove stubborn clogs and blackheads and so forth.

I know not all of these over the counter medicines work for everyone, like myself that i've tried Proactive and Murad and all those things and i actually got my face worse due to them. But this one worked, see if you can find it in a neighborhood pharmacy or drugstore, or supermarket (which some of them also sell them), or online in their website.

About a diet, the main cause of acne is not your diet, eating chocolate or drinking too much soda, it's an old wife's tale, BUT a good diet will prevent excess oils in the skin which will clog pores and cause breakouts.

The main cause of acne are your body's hormones, we can't fix those with a change in diet. For me i go to the gym about 5 days a week, and excercise, this helps your metabolism break fatty acids that may affect your hormone production, as well as providing an overall well being for the body and get you nice and fit, a little blood to the old pump is sometimes the best remedy for current health problems as well as future undeveloped ones.

Stress is another factor that people a lot of the time don't consider, it does affect your acne because too much stress will trigger hormone production in the body and well you know the rest. Try to take life easily, i know sometimes it's hard but you gotta try, for my stress, excercise wipes it all out, and it usually does for a lot of people so think about it.

Well i hope this helps you and good luck with what ever you end up trying.
    Homemade face wash for acne:

Mix together 1 or 2mls each of the following: witch hazel, tea-tree and sweet fennel essential oils, adding essential oil of geranium for women and essential oil of rosewood for men. Mix with 300mls of water. Shake before use, as the oils will float on top of the water during storage. Dab affected areas with cotton wool two or three times a day. The oils will clean and unclog giving antibiotic-like protection to the skin.

I have had acne since I was a young teenager (I am 25 now) and NOTHING helped except Accutane. Although Accutane can be very dangerous and expensive, it is the only product that stopped and cleared my acne. I took it about 3 years ago and my skin is still acne free! I have also tried tons of antibiotics, retin A, Proactiv, and every OTC treatment available. By the way, my acne is genetic and it wasn't diet related. Best of Luck!

First of all DON'T use astrigents. The more oil you strip, the more your skin will produce to make up for it, and your face will always feel greasy.

Second, clean your phone(s) with alcohol. You'll be surprised by how much dirt comes off of it.

Third, go back to basics as suggested earlier. I have very sensitive skin and use a product you can get at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc. It's called ';Basis.'; They make a bath soap and a foaming face wash. No dyes, perfumes, etc.

Last, wash your face before going to bed at night. It's a dirty, polluted world out there and you're going face first into it every day.

Good luck! Let me know how you do.
I go strictly basic. Basic Soaps with no additives. No additive detergents on my linens and wash my hands and face regularly to avoid any germs infecting exisiting acne. STay away from storng astringnets, perfumes, alsohol base products. You also need to visit a health food store and buys a book on how to eat healthy -- Fiber, Green Tea, ALoe Vera Juice, Veggies, Soy Milk, etc.
Procativ is the only thing that really work in my opinion
You can go to a dermatologist and get a prescription, but you can also try over-the-counter Medicares. Some good ones are Proactiv and Clearasil.

Depends on the type of acne and the kind of skin you have. I have Cystic acne that doesn't respond well to peroxide products such as proactive. After trying so many different things, I went to the doctor and had her perscribe a lotion called Clyndomyacin or something like that. It works pretty well for me, but I still get a few break outs. And I have to use pure soaps with no fragrance or anything added to it. Pretty much my only options are dove or ivory. But like I said, it really depends on the type of skin and acne you have.
Cleanse your skin daily and eat healthier. If you are going through puberty, just let it pass.
    do the following

1- cut back on greasy foods %26amp; if u eat them: WASH UR HANDS

2- put topical lotion/moisteurizer on it

    3- use rubbing alcohol/hydogen peroxide
You should probably use a product called Pro-Active, it works right when you put it on.
with ocean water. not salt water, real ocean water. like, from the ocean. move to beach...
i had cystic acne for years. i tried a lot of over the counter products but didnt work me until i used dove soap. my acne gradually cleared up. it really works try it.
you know around 2-3 years ago, i had serious problem with the acnes on my face, i went and visited several doctors, took every kind of medicine that you can think of, but the last thing that i learned is that the best way to fight acne is to have a good regime(less chocolate, less cream and specially less sauce; more fruites and more healthy foods) and if you are under 20 or your acnes don't bother you that much, just leave them alone! (acne is so rife among the boys under 20 and it'll dissapear by 24-25)
I have an acne cure that has won me the best answer three times. Each time, the person said it worked great. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.
Clearasil works for me, but it may cause irritation on some people- it stings a little though
all i can say is buy fruits and vegetables, no chocolate, lots of water, and use a wash cloth morning and night to clean your face with hot water. dont make the wash cloth too hot though. this should open your pores. after that make sure your face is still wet and then use this cleanser called ';kiss my face moisture soap';. you can get it at trader joes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! it makes my skin extremely soft and fresh feeling. make sure you use a wash cloth though or else your face wont get clean. acne is just caused by dirt and oil. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE!! trust me the oils on your fingers will make you break out! well good luck! p.s. try not to stress over it, stress can make you break out as well.
Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Don't drink a lot of pop. Pop means soda.
clear sil, neutrogena, water, neosporin, ect. Talk to you dermitoligist for further help.
Go to the doctor have him look at it and get a medication face wash for it or go to the dermatoligist!!!! %26gt;sorry if i spelled wrong
    %26lt;b%26gt; PROACTIVE
The best way to treat your acne is to go to your dermatologist. Sure there is lots of solution available for treating acne, but your skin may be allergic to some of the acne solutions/medicine that is out today. Therefore, it is best if you let your dermatologist prescribe something for you to be on the safe side.
    with caution
Proactiv..... it totally works!!! it removes acne when you put it on!!!!
Proactiv, Clearasil, Neutrogena u can get these at like Walmart or any of those drug stores

U can also go ask ur doctor to give u a prescription medicine that could treat acne. Good luck

By the way chocolate, soda and whatever does not cause acne, hormones do.

  • How to Treat acne? naturally, without using any products?

People make all kinds of suggestions about the best thing to do to cure acne. Some cures I’ve heard include putting oatmeal, honey, lemon juice, tea tree oil, cucumber, vinegar, milk of magnesia or toothpaste on your face. Practically every cosmetics company and company that makes personal care products makes something that is a “sure cure” for acne. If we think about this, and use some common sense, we have to come to the conclusion that there is no quick or easy cure for acne, because if there was it would be well known and doctors would be telling everyone about it.

Numerous companies make a lot of money persuading people to buy products that at worst will make the acne worse, and at best may help some people a little. Often fewer products are better. People often make their acne much worse by using too many products. There really is no quick fix for acne. Don’t spend a lot of money on products just because their ads say that they will cure acne. Your doctor is the best person to ask for help, and he or she may recommend some prescription medication or non-prescription treatment that may be suitable for you..

There are some very simple and basic things you can do that cost nothing. Keep your face or any other area affected by acne very clean. Any mild antibacterial soap will help with that. Rinse the area well to remove all soap residue. Drink plenty of water – it really does help to clear up acne. Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep. A healthy life style will make a difference. Try to reduce the stress in your life – stress contributes to acne, so also probably the more you worry about the acne and focus on it, the worse it will be.

Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.

The type of treatment selected should be the one that is best for you in terms of your type of skin, the cost, what you want the treatment to accomplish, and the possibility that some types of treatment may result in more scarring if you are very susceptible to scar formation.

A decision to seek dermatologic surgical treatment for acne scars also depends on:

    *

The way you feel about scars. Do acne scars psychologically or emotionally affect your life? Are you willing to ';live with your scars'; and wait for them to fade over time? These are personal decisions only you can make.

    *

The severity of your scars. Is scarring substantially disfiguring, even by objective assessment?

    *

A dermatologist鈥檚 expert opinion as to whether scar treatment is justified in your particular case, and what scar treatment will be most effective for you.

Before committing to treatment of acne scars, you should have a frank discussion with your dermatologist regarding those questions, and any others you feel are important. You need to tell the dermatologist how you feel about your scars. The dermatologist needs to conduct a full examination and determine whether treatment can, or should, be undertaken.

The objective of scar treatment is to give the skin a more acceptable physical appearance. Total restoration of the skin, to the way it looked before you had acne, is often not possible, but scar treatment does usually improve the appearance of your skin.

There are great products. Some are:

    1. Proactive. (Works very well, has a very great kit, and is not a lot of money.

    2. Skin ID (Has a specially made acne cream for you. Go to SkinID.com and you can choose your skin type, type of acne, stress level, products you use, and more to find out what kind you need and can order. This is a great product!

    3. Clean %26amp; Clear also works great. I have a daily pore cleanser from Clean %26amp; Clear and all my pimples and acne improved after 2 uses!

    4. Also, Neutrogena is great. The Wave vibrates on your skin to remove all dirt and oils that are making the acne.

Here are some sites. How do I Treat my Bad Acne?
I have tried Proactive, Clean %26amp; Clear, Skin ID, Neutrogena Acne Kit, Face Washes and the Neutrogena Wave. NONE of them have worked for me. I had rather bad acne a couple of months ago.

I would first go to a dermatologist.

Then usually the dermatologist gives you a prescription.

My dermatologist gave me Differen [A medical prescription retinoid chemical molecule for the treatment of acne, that claims to be as effective as tretinoin 0.025%]

    And..

Duac Topical Gel [It contains the dual-action ingredients of clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide. This dynamic duo is part of a patented formula that is also designed to minimize skin irritation.]

She also recommended Olay Sensitive Skin Face Wash and Cetaphil Face Lotion [You can buy this at Target etc.]

I would first wash my face with Olay Sensitive Skin Face Wash every night before bed.

Then, I would put Differen Gel where needed %26amp; brushed my teeth. [you cannot put both of the gels on at the same time, this will cause irritation of the skin]

Finally, I would put some Duac Topical Gel where needed %26amp; go to bed. :)

    Easy As 1-2-3!

Now, I have NO Acne whatsoever.

    I hope this helps :)
Use proactive solution. It is sold in Pharmacies, and come in two different size bottles, which have to be used together. It is so effective, that once u use it u never see acne on your skin again. Prior to using it, it could be better to clean the area with alcohol, and then apply it on acne. It worked very well on my wife's skin.
first of all, you can't get rid of the black spots. don't pop your zits because the only thing that can heal those is time. when you put cover -up on them it just makes it look all funny. u should try proactiv. it really works. when you first start using it, it may sting a little and makes your face a little red or irritated but that is just part of the acid in the cleanser doing it's thing. stop use for two days and then start using it again. use it once at night and once in the morning. in weeks, or even days for some people, you will have clear, poreless, beautiful skin. this will stop the temptation of popping any zits.
Acne free severe (it's orange bottles) it works wonders :]

    A 2005 Harvard study found a connection:

    ';Acne Associated with Dairy Intake

A new Harvard study links dairy products to adolescent acne. A group of 47,000 women from the Nurses鈥?Health Study was asked to provide information about several aspects of their diet during high school as well as any incidence of physician-diagnosed severe teenage acne.

Researchers noted a positive association with total milk and skim milk consumption, along with instant breakfast drinks, sherbet, cottage cheese, and cream cheese.

    No association was found with several other foods often thought to affect acne, including soda, french fries, chocolate candy, and pizza. The scientists postulate that hormones and bioactive ingredients found in milk may be responsible.';

If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

tea tree oil works very well
I always make sure to cleanse, tone and then moisturize, using all natural ingredients. My best advice is to use the following toner: fill a bottle full of oraganic apple cider vinegar, and then add in 2 crused aspirin (must be aspirin for the salysilic acid). Using a cotton ball, rub this over your face after cleansing, then rub on moisturizer while your skin is still damp. The vinegar smell will go away. This returns the ph balance to your skin, kills bacteria and helps treat already exisitng acne as well as prevents future acne. I switch this up with tea tree oil as my toner. My skin has never looked better. For a moisturizer, I just use jojoba oil, almond oil or olive oil. I apply that lightly after toning.
    Try these simple steps:

    - Drink plenty of fresh clean water. Water cleans your body on the inside, and when your body is clean on the inside, it will reflect on the outside.

    - Eat plenty of Fibre, usually in the morning. All bran cereals have plently of Fibre. Fibre keeps your stomach clean. You need to move your bowels often, to remain clean on the inside.

    - Avoid junk food. Avoids Pops, fried stuff, too much chocolate.

    - Eat more fruits and vegetables.

    - Keep your face clean. Do not touch your face with your dirty hands. Use a mild soap to wash, not the fragrance ones. Use a seperate soap for your face. After you wash your face, pat it dry. Do not rub your face with the towel. Be as gentle as you can.

    - Take your vitamins ...vitamin C and E. consult your doctor first.

    - Stop thinking too much about it. Stress can also cause acne to flourish. Get plenty of sleep.
Ive had acne since I was a teenager and have tried everything under the sun to include ProActiv and prescription stuff. FINALLY, in the past 3 months, I started washing my face with tea tree oil soap and follow with organic apple cider vinegar as a toner. I use Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil soap and Bragg's Unfiltered Organic Apple Cider Vinegar; available in any health food store. I also mix about a tablespoon of the vinegar in juice in the morning (cant taste it) and drink it. Since I started, I havent had one acne outbreak. You'll start seeing results within a week. For the first couple uses, the vinegar toner may sting a little and leave your face a bit red or blotchy so use it only before bedtime to see how your skin reacts. If it's not bad and the redness only lasts a couple minutes, you can use it in the morning, as well. Hope this works for you because it was a life saver for me!
TEA TREE OIL. 2 drops on a wet rag.. clean..

try holding your head over steaming water. not only does this open up your pores and let out all the toxins, but it also allows your face to heal quicker, as it heats up. plus it feels kinda good.

-entier steam baths are great for your entire body!

Can i use rubbing alcohol on my face to zap or treat a small case of acne?

would it hurt my face or mess up my face up or will it treat small case of acne? Can i use rubbing alcohol on my face to zap or treat a small case of acne?
rubbing alcohol would be fine to use for cleaning the area. You don't want to put it all over your face though, just on the pimple. It will clean it and get rid of all the germs letting it heal faster. After you clean it it would help to put some kind of ointment like neosporin on it, that will help it heal also. Hope that helps!!Can i use rubbing alcohol on my face to zap or treat a small case of acne?
It won't hurt your face, but it won't help your acne either. The best way to treat a small case of acne is with a product that contains 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide or more.

For instance, Proactiv's on the Spot Treatment is 6% Benzoyl Peroxide and it got rid of one of my pimples overnight. So your best bet would probably be to go to Walmart and start looking at the ingredients of products. Find a product that contains Benzoyl Peroxide and then follow the given instructions from there.
No no no bad bad bad!

I had huge acne problem then I watched my fiance... he just washes his face in the shower with a reg bar of soap and then rubs on lotion afterwards. So I hid all my facial products under the sink and started this routine... two weeks later my skin was clean and no breakouts! Best of luck!
    Ouch No!!!!!

Dont do it, that will irritate your skin so much and it will hurt like hell!

Just use warm water and a sensitive soap twice daily. Remember to close your pores with cold water afterwards and apply a light moisturizer.

    :)
Yes, it can be used in small amounts. You want to apply it directly to the zit/pimple and not smear across your entire face because it could lead to drying out of skin.
It will dry your skin but will alleviate the acne if that is all you can afford
Rubbing alcohol will dry your skin out and I don't think it's great for you. I'd try using tea tree essential oil.

How can i treat acne using any home remedy?

    zaara !

Below are presented a couple of things you need to do as a part of acne pimples home remedy treatment:

    * Gently apply fresh limejuice on pimples and blackheads.

    * Dab the mixture made by combining 1 tsp fresh coriander powder and a pinch of turmeric powder on the pimples, while going to bed in the night and wash it off when you wake up the next morning.

    * Take a few fresh curry leaves and make a paste. Apply the paste on the acne-affected area and keep it overnight and wash it off with warm water the next morning.

    * Apply the paste made of nutmeg (Jaiphal) and raw milk on acne and wash it off after 20 minutes. Do it for about 10-12 days and see the magical effects.

    * Take some fresh fenugreek leaves and make a paste to apply on the acne pimples overnight.

    * For people with oily skin, the perfect home remedy is to apply a paste made by mixing sandalwood and few drops of rosewater on the acne affected area for about an hour and then wash off gently.

    * For dry skin, the best remedy is to take a piece of sandalwood and rub it on a smooth stone and make a paste using a few drops of raw milk. Apply the mixture on the acne and keep it for an hour and thereafter gently wash with water.

it's a bit expensive, but honestly try Proactiv solution. I tried everything else in the book and nothing works like this. Say goodbye to acne forever - this stuff is potent but doesn't dry out your skin or make it flaky because it moisturizes it at the same time.

    Good luck!
strawberries use them fresh and put them in your face or wherever the pimple is at. it helps whith scars too just dont expect to work overnight i mean on the sacars and stuff butt yeah. if u use honey the organic kinkd its better with the strawberries

Has anyone used pantothenic acid (b5) to treat or get rid of there acne?

I'm researching it but i would luv some feedback of anyone who has had good results. THANX :]Has anyone used pantothenic acid (b5) to treat or get rid of there acne?
    Hi Cassandra,

I've been using pantothenic acid for a few years now and I can wholeheartedly say that it works very well for me. After years of trying to find something that could get rid of my acne I came across a few forum posts about B5 and how it helped to reduce acne. I tried it and couldn't believe how well it worked! I don't seem to get any side effects but now and again I stop using for a while to give my body a rest. But, after about a week without use my acne reappears. There is more info on my blog: http://cureacnenow.info/

Hope that helps with your research!

    Good luck,

WillHas anyone used pantothenic acid (b5) to treat or get rid of there acne?
I have and its actually the only thing that has worked for me... besides antibiotics which only work temporarily. B5 doesnt make my skin perfect, but it is drastically better and less oily also. The brand that I think works the best is from acne-vitamins.com.

    Natural Skin Whitener

    Cucumber Juice

    Lime Juice

    Tumeric Powder

Procedure: Get one tablespoon of fresh cucumber juice, add few drops of fresh lime juice and add a pinch of tumeric powder. Mix all well until it becomes a good paste. Apply all over face a neck. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. Add more quantity of the ingredients for a bigger application. This remedy helps whiten the skin and it's a great lotion for all skin types. Apply this mixture no more than two times a week.

    Natural Bleaching Facial

    Fresh Spinach Leaves

    Lemon Juice

Procedure: Make a paste from some of the spinach leaves in a blender. Take it all out in a bowl and add one teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. Mix it all together and apply evenly on face and neck. Relax and leave on for 20 minutes. Then rinse off with cold water.

mederma is a little expensive but it lasts really long and you can always get it off ebay for a better price...i've been using it since june and the acne scars are on my face seems to be fading...it is no where near where it use to be before the scars...but it is actually getting a bit more faint so i think with anything...you have to give it time...lucky for me i'm not taking summer school so i have time to apply it 3-4 times a day...but it does dry out my face so i use aveeno...i have tried home remedies before like the lemon juice...that really stung me and my face got really itchy so i gave up on that..but if your face isnt as sensitive you should give that a try first...and dont forget sunblock!!

p.s. zinc is supposed to be helpful in aiding with your skin's speed of healing so i've been taking those since may.
You can try an at-home microdermabrasion kit which is available at drugstores. Basically, they use crystals that mechanically peel away or resurface the skin. Big brand names like Neutrogena %26amp; Olay sell microdermabrasion kits although most are a bit pricey. But they are cheaper than salon microdermabrasions.

You can also try using a serum with Vitamin C in it. If all goes well and you bought a really good serum, it can fade your scars.

I have also heard of chemical peeling using trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to fade scars but I'm not too sure about that one.

However, before you go out and buy any products to fade scars, I suggest you do some research of your own on the product. Find reviews and look over the ingredients to make sure it's safe for you~

Of course, there's also laser treatments and etc. but I assume you wanted something you can do at home. Good luck~
apple cider vinegar has worked wonders for my red post-acne marks. I just diluted some apple cider vinegar with a little water and apply it as a toner every night. I have noticed major fading of the marks and I've been doing this for about a month.

  • Does anubodu know how treat acne?

There is a natural way despite what some say. Eat healthy balanced diets, I know typical answer. Remember to try to stay away from caffine. Also keep hydrated and put lotion or aloe vera on your skin to keep it smooth and clear. There's a cream with a pic of a bell on it and it's the size of a.....compact, yeah. I forgot what it was called but look it up, it doesn't say but it helps with acne. Proactive and clearisil only bleach and/or dry up the acne, which isn't good. Keep the face clean and wash every morning to remove dead skin cells and put the lotion on after so the skin absorbes the moisture. (Soap dries the skin so do it after) No injections, no fake stuff. All natural.Does anubodu know how treat acne?
ProActive works very well for many people. If you cannot afford it, there is a generic version called AcneFree sold at Wal Mart for a lower price. Same ingredients, and same results.

Keep your skin clean. Blot away excess oil throughout the day. Be mindful of what you eat...stay away from greasy foods, caffeine, and chocolate. Eat healthy snacks of fruits and vegetables, and drink plenty of water.

Acutane is the cure. See your dermatologist.
Clean and Clear Advantage. 100% saw reduction of rednss, spots, and less oily skin in only one day. I am part of that 100%.

Proactiv works for only some people's skin type. C+C works for ALL.
Pro-active is great, otherwise there is a knock off of Pro-Active called Acne Free, which is just as good, and costs less. Otherwise, if this has been an ongoing severe case of acne, you could always go on Accutane, of course under the care of your dermatologist.
Honestley there is no fast overnight way to treat acne. Once acne developes do not rub or touch your face because it can either cause and infection to develope (more acne spreads) and/or makes you acne more noticable. Do not wear any makeup to try and cover the acne. Your pores are already cloged up as it is so you dont want to make them anymore worse. Next wash your face with proactive solutions and lotions twice a day. And when you feel your face getting oily use Biore cleansing wipes and you will be amazed at all the dirt you find on the wipe.Good luck.
Proactive, but i takes three to four days for the acne to faid away. theres this tea called Camomile tea thats good for cleaning out ur pores. first boil it then put it in a bolw, then put ur face into the steam with a towel over ur head. if it gets to hot u can take the towel off for a couple mins, then do it again intill u feel that u had enough of it. after that just gently wipe ur face off wit a cotton pat.

I actually have 2 proven solutions for you which won鈥檛 even cost much money!

1.) You can try rubbing banana peels on your face every now and then, preferably on a daily basis. The nutrients on the inside of the banana peels get rid of dirt on skin and prevent pores from getting clogged.

2.) If there is any Indian/Pakistani store or market in your area that sells groceries, you can try asking them for a kind of soap named ';LUX';. Believe me, it works! I am Pakistani myself and when I went to Pakistan last summer, I tried this soap and absolutely loved it! I thought I wouldn't find it anywhere here in America but to my luck, I found it at an Indian grocery store. I have been using it daily since then.

    HOPE THESE SOLUTIONS HELPED!
It's hard to find a remedy that clears up everyone's acne, let alone one that is cheap. However, I highly suggest a combination (1-3 at least), if not all, of the following products:

    1. Johnson and Johnson's Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash.

    2. ZAPZYT Maximum Strength 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel.

    3. A moisturizer.

    4. Aspirin masks 1-2 times a week (4-6 aspirin and just enough water to form a crumbly paste. Spread over the face and allow 15 minutes to let the mask dry and rinse off. Obviously, DO NOT use this mask if you are allergic to aspirin or if you are pregnant).

    5. Omega 3 Fish Oil pills have helped a lot of people clear up their skin as well. If you can afford all five of these products, I would suggest trying these pills.

Use these products in the following order in the morning:

    1. Cleanse with Purpose.

    2. Apply ZAPZYT after cleansing.

    3. Apply moisturizer after ZAPZYT.

    4. Repeat these steps at night.

The aspirin mask is better to do before you apply ZAPZYT at night. You should see the results of the mask the next morning when you wake up.

Take the Omega 3 pills 2-3 times everyday.

    Good luck!

I'm a teen and I've had acne basically all my life. I've done research on homemade acne treatments and the word ';tomatoes'; caught my eye. So my question is, if I constantly rub tomatoes all over my face, will I become some kind of tomato man??? Do tomatoes help treat acne?

    Do tomatoes help treat acne?
There is no evidence that tomatoes will help to treat acne. Tomatoes are acidic, which can create an environment unsuited to bacteria, but they are not a magic bullet for acne treatment and prevention.

I would not rely on homemade treatments. While many acne treatments have natural sources (for example, salicylic acid comes from willow tree bark, and sulfur is a natural element, and azelaic acie is an extract of wheat -- and even Accutane is a derivative of Vitamin A), the concentrations of these found in foods and natural/organic products are commonly just not high enough to be therapeutic and effective.

Don't reject acne treatments sold in stores just because they aren't ';natural';. Many of the drugs sold as ';modern medicine'; have their foundations in plants and botany -- they just require concentration and preparation by scientists to be effective.
No but the acidic content of the tomato dries up the oil in your skin. also lemon juice or vinegar.
man, try to eat the tomatoes to, it will help your skin to be healthy.
    hasnt helped me

Is clindatech an effective acne treatment? an anyone suggest a product to treat medium acne??

    clindatech? Never heard of it!

First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!

I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.

are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.

Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.

Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.

Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.Is clindatech an effective acne treatment? an anyone suggest a product to treat medium acne??
what u can do it purchase zinc ointment,, the one at the healt store not expensive...very good stuffIs clindatech an effective acne treatment? an anyone suggest a product to treat medium acne??
    i donno but,

There is this stuff called '; St. Ives aprocot scrub'; that works and i have also heard that lots of the clean n clear products work.

Also when u by a product make shure it has at least 2% salicylic acid because it is stronger and will work more efficiantly.
Kefir a, God given, pro-biotic to fix skin problems and many many more ailments http://www.kefir.org/kefir_manual.htm. For very detailed information visit http://users.chariot.net.au/~dna/kefirpage.html You could call it natures Roaccutine. A testimonial http://messageboards.makemeheal.com/viewtopic.php?p=501016 I'd also visit this persons youtube videos on acne http://www.youtube.com/user/highonhealth In my humble opinion Kefir is the best though. Make sure you look for the authentic Caucasian Kefir culture grain, which multiply in milk, for best results, and not the commercial ';Kefir'; which don't multiply because they have been manipulated . From Barry Hilton who has been using Kefir for many years. Acne and Excema Treatment: Drink half a litre daily; moreover, rub some (36/48 hrs fermentated Kefir Cultured Milk) into the affected areas. LEAVE CRUST (which forms) dry and do not remove at night. Clean off the following morning. Even some cases of severe excema heals after 4 days and you will be amazed how quickly it will cure Acne. (18/24 hrs fermented Kefir Culture Milk).

If you can't get your Kefir right away try this: Some people have had success with this combo, they mix some Baking Soda with a little water to make it flow and rub it gently over the affected area, they leave it on for about 3 minutes (some people leave it on up to an hour) before they wash it off with water. Then they get one tablespoon of Apple cider vinegar in half a glass of water and rub that over the affected area with a cotton bud, then they finish by applying some Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

    No...

Green wintergreen rubbing alochol, pour a bit on a tissue and wipe your face..you will see the tissue become very dirty. Do it every morning and every night before bed. This is one of those tricks that no one ever knows..The best part..the bottle is usually about 89 cents... I find it at vons or walgreens.

My husband had bad acne and he went to the dermatoligist and tried everything but this works and he is perfectly clear.

Vitmin E is good for the hair, skin and nails. try it.
    I suggest vitamin E! LOLz!
Dear friend, vitamins cant do wonders ,, please ensure that you eat healthy food, and most importantly,, dont ever go for facials at this moment if you have acne,,, use a soap specifically meant for acne,, and to go to a good doctr, mindful ab danruff,,,, too,, good luck,,
Not sure about B5 but I definitely know that vitamin a is used to treat acne. However be careful, vitamin a is a fat soluble vitamin and gets stored in the liver (fat soluble vitamins a much easier to build up in toxicity in the body than water soluble vitamins like your b vitamins). To be safe get the recommended daily allowance of vitamin A to try to help reduce your acne. If you decide you want to take more you will have to see a doctor (people who take Accutane, a medicine for acne that is a high dose of vitamin a have to get liver tests and if you are female you have to be on birth control since high levels of vitamin a will cause serious birth defects. It is also recommended that women don't get pregnant for two years after being on such a high dose of vitamin a).

here is a website about vitamin b5 and acne treatment which says that it doesn't work for acne treatment. The only proven vitamin shown to help with treatment of acne is vitamin a.

Well i have two remedies... The first one is just plain real honey. Put it on the actual acne and hopefully that will help. IF not the second one is... Take some poppy seeds and crush them with a blender or whatever machine that crushes, add olive oil to it not too much just enough to make a facial scrub and use it daily for one week. By the way ... for the facial scrub you cannot use it on open acne. Srub it all over your face for 2 minutes, just massage it in then wash. good luck

What can i use to Home-Treat my acne?

I have acne real bad and i hate it!!!do u have any ideas that actually work for home-treatment??plz help???What can i use to Home-Treat my acne?
get a multi vitamin with minerals that is called nature's blend. once a day and only once do you take one. What can i use to Home-Treat my acne?
Try ortho-tricyclen. Also try a salicylic acne wash and Persagel as a spot treatment at bedtime. Use a mint mask once in awhile too or clay. Use a gentle scrub once or twice a week. Let your skin breathe on your days off too ( no makeup).
Unfortunately there is no cure for acne and i have used everything the best product I have used so far is proactiv. It costs about 25.90 per kit and they automatically send out a new kit every two months so you don't have to worry about having to keep reordering. They also have additional products and specially made make-up and foundation. there will be a whole product kit with the order. its been a great product it even helps with monthly premenstrual breakouts. Good Luck!
Well, it depends on what kind of face soap you're using. You can try Acne Free, and all those other products, but be careful if you have sensitive skin. you could burn it and leave scars. I tried every product out there, but my acne was real bad and nothing worked. But the best way to treat acne that's real bad is to visit a dermatologist. I visited one and I'm grateful that my acne is fading. With the help of topical ointment and antibiotics, it makes it easier to help with healing from the doctor.

    Best of Luck!

proactive, works well but is a little pricy. If your looking for something cheap the clearisil line is a great substitute
id go to the doctor if your able to... there are so many ways to help that, that you might as well take advantage specially if its bad acne..lots of times just washing and treating the surface isnt enough ,so give it a try :)
This depends on the severity of your face. Try using a gentle cleanser and a non-oil mosturizer. It takes about 6 weeks to see if the cleanser is working, so if it's been a week, and you see no difference, dont switch cleansers yet, wait a longer time. But if your face is getting worse, then it's time to try a different cleanser. Also use a toner a few times a week. Don't use a lot of products on your face though because it can make it worse. Hold off on the acne clearing products.
Neutragena products work best for me.
    Cut them off
I was horrible. Years ago I went to the derm he prescribed me minocycline pills.. those worked. But since then my sister told me about Clearsil daily face wipes... awesome. I saw a difference within days. They are about $4 bucks for a 32 count pouch. They really do work.
Oh dear God, if only I knew.

If your skin isn't BAD, you don't want something that'll dry your skin out. Try Tea Tree products, they're anti bacterial and natural. Use a light moisturizer anyways, just to be on the safe side.

If you've only ever had like one or two zits, then a mild cleanser or maybe even just soap will do, but if you're like me, then you need all the help you can get. Sulfur based soaps, tea tree, salicylic acid, soap, alcohol based toner, witch hazel, all work, you really need to try things out and look for yourself.

If you need a quick fix, wash your face clean, and then use a chilled alcohol based toner (just stick it in the fridge for a little bit) on some cotton, to take down the swelling. Then get a green concealer pen with some salicylic acid in it, it'll say skin correcting or something, Neutrogena makes good ones, and apply that lightly, and put a little makeup over it. Even if you don't normally wear makeup, that's the best way to hide one.

DO NOT PICK THEM. Really. If they open and start spewing puss, rinse them out with something anti bacteria, and keep them super clean or they could scar. Just keep washing your face, and do use a light moisturizer, it'll keep the Ph balance of your skin in order.

    Good luck!

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

    1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

    2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
i got this stuff from a drugstore its called klear action is GREAT!!

The best way to rid your skin of spots is frequent exfoliation, i use this nivea one and its really good. The exfoliation not only clears the away dead skin cells which can clog pores but leaves your face really soft. Tea tree oil really works aswell. Unfortunately there is no quick fix and you need to really keep up all the cleancing etc... but a good diet of the usual fruit and veg is good for the skin aswell. Especially zinc, vitamens A and C. Drinking lots of water is good for the skin as it hydrates it. Good luck!!

Tea tree oil treat acne scar and whiteheads?

does tea tree oil really help treat acne scars and white heads

and im going to order it from the body shop do you recommend any other tea tree oil products?Tea tree oil treat acne scar and whiteheads?
Tea tree oil to me is what alcohol was to my mothers generation. It is an absolute cure all. It will stop mosquitos and fleas and ticks from biting you. If you put a few drops in your favorite shampoo it will stop dandruff. Add some to your liquid body soap to help with dry skin. It is an awesome astringent for cleansing. It does have a pungeant smell, but when added to another product that is scented you cannot smell it when you have showered or bathed with it. I just used it for poison ivy. It worked. We use it for so many things. It even keeps lice out of kids hair when they are in school. We add it to our children's shampoo. They have never gotten lice, even though every one else in their school was getting it. I order mine from ebay a store called oils of the earth. They also have an email oilsoftheearth@msn.com Way cheaper than the herb store. I think I gave like 15 bucks for a 4oz bottle. I have had it forever because you only use a few drops. Hope this helps. Good luckTea tree oil treat acne scar and whiteheads?
I haven't used it for scars, but it does WONDERS for pimples. It's a natural anti-bacterial/anti-fungal. It stinks, but you get used to the smell. It's also good for minor cuts and burns. I use it as much as I can. Just watch the mucus membranes. Don't get it NEAR your eyes, it's very irritating.
I work with a company that manufactures and sells over 350 products with tea tree oil. They are the best products on this earth and we have a acne product line that is second to none. Let me know if you are interested.

How does one treat acne naturally at home. also how can it be prevented.?

Read some very useful tips and articles on this site on how to deal with acne with some home remedies to help you with itHow does one treat acne naturally at home. also how can it be prevented.?
i have seen my dermotologts for this..... NO FOODS GREASY OR NOT DO NOT CAUSE ACNE!!!!! bad acne is heriditarty, and there is not much you can do other than seeing a dermotologits and getting prescription stuff which totally cleared up mine. There is NO over the counter stuff to clear up your face if it is bad acne, If its the occasionally few, then using salicylic acid type is the best, dermotologists reccomend neutrogena oil free acne wash the orange kind in the pump. acne is strictly hormonal you can wash your face fifty times a day and it wont do anything to help, only irritate what you have more. Make sure you wash your face only twice a day and rinse it COMPLETELY for like 3 minutes under water. This is all coming from a doctor not my opinion. Dont listen to the stupid comments above. How does one treat acne naturally at home. also how can it be prevented.?
proactive is the only thing i've found that helps
Ok. I am going to tell you what worked for me. In my early to mid-20's (yes late) I started developing these cysts...some were the size of a nickel on my face. After trying accutane and other dermatological products with no help, I started using PLAIN OLD RUBBING ALCOHOL on a cotton ball everyday. In two weeks, my problems were gone. I have NEVER had a single outbreak since then. You should use the alcohol at least twice per day and then follow up with a non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic face lotion to keep from drying out. (Neutrogena has a good one, just read the label for those two items). Acne is a bacterial problem and nothing works better than alcohol. In a few weeks, your skin will be totally clear! Good luck.
YEA, IT'S CALLED WASHING YOUR FACE...DUH!!!
Try Evening Primrose Oil. It is guaranteed to help you with your skin along with many other issues.
You can always try dabbing the blemish with Lemon Juice a few times a day.

A cheap way to get rid of blackheads and dead skin is make a paste of oatmeal and water. Apply it to your face and let it dry. Rub it off with your fingers using a lot of back and forth motion.

Drink a lot of water, and eat a balanced diet too.
Prevent: don't eat lots of chocolate or greasy foods.

Treat: Wash your face daily. (Just wait till you're a little older, zits don't only appear on your face.)

  • Is this acne and how should I treat it?

I have been getting what I think is bad acne on my face recently. The acne itself is only in a few spots and is broad, raised, and pointed. They are dense and have no openings. I have been stressed lately so it may be a result. Please help.Is this acne and how should I treat it?
yes thats acne. i was in the same situation.. and i was so stressed too. i used so much products(even proactiv) that did not help me at all... so i went to my doctor and she gave me a cream that made my face worst for 6 weeks but after that my face has become so clear and with no spots. I think doctors are the only ones that can help you with your type of skin.Is this acne and how should I treat it?
Yes, i think it is acne.

To treat it, try cutting a lemon into fourths and set one of the fourths on each spot of acne.

Keep them there for 15 minutes, and then gently wash your face with warm water.

How do you treat baby acne on a 2 month old?

it is mainly on his forehead and cheeksHow do you treat baby acne on a 2 month old?
Clean the face gently, with minimal or no soap once a day at mostHow do you treat baby acne on a 2 month old?
I agree with the answer above, but you can also apply a very thin layer of Polysporin (just like neosporin, just less cases of allergic reactions) to where the little pimples are. Don;t worry- most babies get it, and it does go away!
I know, it looks horrible doesn't it? My baby had it until she was 3 months old. Don't touch it. Applying lotion does nothing for it. It will go away on it's own. If you try and pop them, this will cause scarring.
Just keep washing them with clean cotton wool and warm water. One of those things that could be milk spots or just them getting used to the 'outside world' rather than being in your sterilised environment of your tummy. It'll go by itself, just don't pick or touch it too much.
wash your baby's face with warm water two or three times a day and pat it dry. Don't use lotions, oils or other treatments. Never pinch or scrub baby acne. You may cause more irritation or an infection.
There is really nothing you can do for it, but wash with mild or no soap at all twice a day. And make sure it stays dry because wetness feeds it and causes it to get worse.

    Good Luck!!!
My baby had acne till she was about 3 months old and it left on his own you just need to always keep it clean and also with the craddle cap just when you are giving your baby a bath you can go over it with a brush but gently and in no time it will be gone.
you don't. it's the hormones in his/her body settling and also from formula/breast milk. It will clear up itself, don't worry about it.
My son has the same thing he's 3 and half months now and had it almost since he was born. It comes and goes. Sometimes it gets better almost clears up completely other times it's red and bumpy. Doctor said there is no real medicine for it. It will go away in time. After his bath I apply a very light layer of ';fast-absorbing, hypoallergenic Aloe Vera %26amp; Vitamin E Baby Oil'; the Equate brand. That helps a little. I know it's frustrating when you try everything and it keeps coming back.
Most people say to just leave it alone, but I tried some vaseline on my 2 1/2 week old, and the acne was mostly gone within a week or so!
you don't. it will clear up on its own. just wash his little face with water, apply baby lotion if needed {cetaphil is a great one--no dyes or scents to irritate him}, and let it be.
The is no treatment for baby acne, it goes away on it's own. And over washing his face could end up drying his skin out or inflamation. So just don't worry about it
Never ever ever try to clear it up!!! Babies are born with it and it will go away all by itself. Just clean it like you clean the rest of his body.

Why don't doesn't anyone treat the cause of acne instead of just the symtoms?

Since acne is caused by hormonal imbalances of having too much androgen in the system, why can't doctors just give acne sufferers something to lower their levels of androgen? All the topical treatments are just treating the symptoms, not the cause. Someone please explain to me why we just can't treat the cause and cure acne. Is it cuz too many companies make money off of selling acne products?

I'm 38 and I STILL get breakouts and have super oily skin!!! Arrrrgggg!!!Why don't doesn't anyone treat the cause of acne instead of just the symtoms?
i dsont know maybe scientist jus do that because they make money off of stuff like that. Why don't doesn't anyone treat the cause of acne instead of just the symtoms?
why dont you try taking omega 3 fish oil pills. it has high level of epa which inhibits excess levels of androgen. Report Abuse

Can aloe vera help treat my mildly burned skin from an acne face wash?

i was putting on lotion that restores moisture, then instead it wasn't doing anything so i applied aloe vera just today

how long do you think it will heal, if it does anything?

if not, what does treat this type of burn?

Apparently Aloe does help burns %26amp; skin problems. The US military experimented with it to treat burns in wartime and the results were moderately positive.

The best thing may be to use a quality aftersun lotion. It should clear within a few days.

    Drink loads of liquids too.

    Hi There

Here is a testimonial on how to heal the issue

ALOE VERA, LEMON JUICE, HONEY, VITAMIN E, TOOTHPASTE +++

11/17/2007: Jessica from Vancouver, Canada writes: ';A while ago I experimented with a bunch of home remedies to clear up my acne scars and found that topically applying the following worked for me:

    - aloe vera gel (works better on fresh wounds)

    - lemon juice

    - honey

    - vitamin e oil or capsule

    - toothpaste

    - cucumber juice (leave it on for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water)

    - make a paste of salt, baking soda, lemon juice, and honey. Leave on face for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water.

    Hope these help someone!';
