Since acne is caused by hormonal imbalances of having too much androgen in the system, why can't doctors just give acne sufferers something to lower their levels of androgen? All the topical treatments are just treating the symptoms, not the cause. Someone please explain to me why we just can't treat the cause and cure acne. Is it cuz too many companies make money off of selling acne products?

why dont you try taking omega 3 fish oil pills. it has high level of epa which inhibits excess levels of androgen. Report Abuse
