Try limiting your dairy consumption.

A 2005 Harvard study found a connection:

';Acne Associated with Dairy Intake

A new Harvard study links dairy products to adolescent acne. A group of 47,000 women from the Nurses鈥?Health Study was asked to provide information about several aspects of their diet during high school as well as any incidence of physician-diagnosed severe teenage acne.

Researchers noted a positive association with total milk and skim milk consumption, along with instant breakfast drinks, sherbet, cottage cheese, and cream cheese.

No association was found with several other foods often thought to affect acne, including soda, french fries, chocolate candy, and pizza. The scientists postulate that hormones and bioactive ingredients found in milk may be responsible.';

If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

tea tree oil works very well
I always make sure to cleanse, tone and then moisturize, using all natural ingredients. My best advice is to use the following toner: fill a bottle full of oraganic apple cider vinegar, and then add in 2 crused aspirin (must be aspirin for the salysilic acid). Using a cotton ball, rub this over your face after cleansing, then rub on moisturizer while your skin is still damp. The vinegar smell will go away. This returns the ph balance to your skin, kills bacteria and helps treat already exisitng acne as well as prevents future acne. I switch this up with tea tree oil as my toner. My skin has never looked better. For a moisturizer, I just use jojoba oil, almond oil or olive oil. I apply that lightly after toning.
Try these simple steps:

- Drink plenty of fresh clean water. Water cleans your body on the inside, and when your body is clean on the inside, it will reflect on the outside.

- Eat plenty of Fibre, usually in the morning. All bran cereals have plently of Fibre. Fibre keeps your stomach clean. You need to move your bowels often, to remain clean on the inside.

- Avoid junk food. Avoids Pops, fried stuff, too much chocolate.

- Eat more fruits and vegetables.

- Keep your face clean. Do not touch your face with your dirty hands. Use a mild soap to wash, not the fragrance ones. Use a seperate soap for your face. After you wash your face, pat it dry. Do not rub your face with the towel. Be as gentle as you can.

- Take your vitamins ...vitamin C and E. consult your doctor first.

- Stop thinking too much about it. Stress can also cause acne to flourish. Get plenty of sleep.
Ive had acne since I was a teenager and have tried everything under the sun to include ProActiv and prescription stuff. FINALLY, in the past 3 months, I started washing my face with tea tree oil soap and follow with organic apple cider vinegar as a toner. I use Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil soap and Bragg's Unfiltered Organic Apple Cider Vinegar; available in any health food store. I also mix about a tablespoon of the vinegar in juice in the morning (cant taste it) and drink it. Since I started, I havent had one acne outbreak. You'll start seeing results within a week. For the first couple uses, the vinegar toner may sting a little and leave your face a bit red or blotchy so use it only before bedtime to see how your skin reacts. If it's not bad and the redness only lasts a couple minutes, you can use it in the morning, as well. Hope this works for you because it was a life saver for me!
