Acne scarring on back - how to treat?

My gorgeous husband has acne scarring on his back, which he's had since his early twenties when he had bad acne (that he had to take medication for). He doesn't mention it often but he has said he wishes he didn't have his acne scars, and he still gets spots even now (he's 30). Is there a simple non-invasive treatment to help him get rid of his acne and his acne scars?
